A Sprinter 144 full wrap is $4,200 and a Sprinter 170 high roof is $6,000 at our shop. The 170 high roof carries far more wrappable area and its upper panels are worked from ladders, which moves it up a labor tier. High roof Sprinters are routine in our bays. Partials run about $2,300 and $3,300. More on Sprinter wraps.

A van or truck wrap is printed cast vinyl, laminated, applied panel by panel over the factory paint and trimmed at the seams. It covers the whole vehicle (full wrap), part of it (partial), or carries only cut lettering and logos. A cast film wrap has a 5 to 7 year service life and comes off without harming sound paint. Our cargo van full wrap is $4,200.

A full-size Ram ProMaster is priced as a cargo van at our shop: $4,200 for a full wrap, with design, print, cast vinyl, lamination and install included. The smaller ProMaster City is quoted from its measured area with the same formula, square feet plus 6 percent waste at $13.21 per square foot, so it lands between our $2,850 floor and the full-size price. Also asked as: ram promaster wrap chicago · ram promaster wrap · ram promaster vinyl wrap · ram promaster city wrapWhat is the cheapest way to get a work van or truck wrapped?
Buy less coverage, not cheaper film. On a cargo van our lettering package is about $850, a partial about $2,300 and a full wrap $4,200; a simple cargo van full wrap can start at $3,250. We do not put calendered economy vinyl on work vehicles: it costs less per roll and fails sooner than cast. A partial on white paint reads as a finished design. See partial wraps.
Also asked as: cheap van wrapping near me · cheap van wrapping · cheapest van wrapping near me · cheap box truck wrap chicagoWill a wrap on my work van hold up to Chicago winters and salt?
Yes, when it is cast vinyl with an overlaminate and post-heated edges, good for a 5 to 7 year service life through salt and freeze-thaw. Salt attacks lower panels and any edge it can creep under, so rinse the rockers and hand wash or go touchless. Flaking and peeling come from calendered film or skipped post-heating; our 2 year workmanship warranty covers lifting and edge failure. See winter durability.
Also asked as: will a wrap on my work van hold up to chicago winters and salt · Has anyone used an auto wrap on a business vehicle, and how do they hold up to flaking, tearing and peeling? · does a truck wrap just peel offIs there a van wrap price calculator by model?
Yes. Our wrap calculator lists the installed price per model: cargo van $4,200, Transit high roof $4,900, Sprinter 144 $4,200, Sprinter 170 high roof $6,000. Every figure is wrappable square feet plus 6 percent waste, times $13.21 per square foot, times a labor tier, rounded to $50. An itemized quote follows within 24 hours once we have the vehicle, coverage and artwork details.
Also asked as: van wrap pricing calculator · van wrap pricing · van wrap pricesCan you wrap company SUVs white with our logos and lettering?
Yes. We lay a solid white cast film (3M 2080 or Avery Dennison color change film) and apply printed logos and cut lettering over it. A color change adds 15 percent to that model's full wrap price, and an SUV is priced from its measured area, so send year, make and model for a quote. Three vehicles on one order earn the 2 to 4 vehicle discount of 3 percent.
Also asked as: Can you wrap three SUVs white with all our logos and lettering? What van and wrap should a new business get on a $6,000 budget?
Pick the van for the work first; $6,000 covers a full wrap on any of them at our shop. A cargo van (Transit, ProMaster, Express) full wrap is $4,200, a Transit high roof $4,900, a Sprinter 144 $4,200, and a Sprinter 170 high roof is $6,000 even. Buy it in white: white paint makes a partial wrap at 55 percent look finished and keeps lettering legible. Design is included.
Also asked as: Any advice on what type of van and wrap to get for my business and why, with a budget around $6,000?Can a wrap cover rust spots on an older work van?
No. Vinyl needs sound paint to bond to, and rust keeps growing under film and lifts it. Have the spots ground out, treated, primed and painted first; a repainted panel needs about 90 days to cure before we wrap it. Pits and bubbles telegraph through cast film, so the repair has to be flat. We flag anything that needs bodywork at the pre-install inspection. See durability guide.

Who wraps box trucks in Chicago and the suburbs?
We do. Most box trucks up to about 40 feet fit our five bays indoors, smooth or riveted, Isuzu NPR cab-overs among them. Full wrap prices run by box length, $5,300 for a 16 foot smooth body up to $9,200 for 26 feet, design and install included. Pickup and delivery are free across Cook and the five collar counties, Naperville, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook and Aurora covered. See box truck wraps.
Also asked as: box truck wraps chicago · who does box truck wraps in Chicago · box truck wraps near me · who wraps box trucks near meIs a box truck or van wrap good advertising?
It is the largest ad surface most small businesses own, and you pay for it once. Exposure varies by route, so we do not quote a universal impressions number. The Nielsen 2019 OOH study found 64 percent of people noticed a wrapped vehicle ad in the past month. A 26 foot box truck wrap is $9,200 at our shop for a 5 to 7 year service life.
Also asked as: box truck wrap advertising · van wrap advertising · For those who have wrapped a work vehicle, did it actually increase business or at least inquiries? · Those of you who got a wrap, did you see an increase in jobs?Is a partial wrap, a full wrap or decals the better buy on a box truck?
It depends on how much you have to say. The box sides are flat and do most of the advertising, so a full wrap ($5,300 on a 16 foot smooth body at our shop) suits photos and a full color field. A partial, about $2,900, puts bold graphics on a white truck. Decals, about $1,050, cover name, phone and DOT number. Comparison: full versus partial versus spot graphics.
Also asked as: is a partial wrap or a full wrap the better buy on a box truck · box truck wrap vs decals · box truck partial wrap · box truck graphics near meWhat makes a box truck wrap design work?
Treat each side as a billboard: one message, the company name and what you do, a phone number in letters at least 4 inches tall so it reads from 50 feet, and strong contrast. Keep key text off rivet rows and panel seams, and give the rear door its own phone and web line for the driver behind you. Our two in-house designers build it; design is included.
Also asked as: box truck wrap design · box truck wrap ideas · box truck wrap design ideas · What do you dislike or would change about my truck wrap design?Do box truck and trailer wraps last as long as van wraps?
Yes, when the same cast film is used: a 5 to 7 year service life, backed by our 2 year workmanship warranty and the 5 year material warranty. The stress points differ. On a box or trailer, rivet heads, panel seams and the lower skirt that catches road salt fail first, so we post-heat every rivet and seal the edges. The roof is normally left unwrapped.
Also asked as: how long does a box truck wrap last in chicago · How long does a full truck wrap last? · how long do trailer wraps lastCan you wrap a 26 foot box truck, and what does it cost?
Yes. A 26 foot box truck full wrap is $9,200 at our shop, and the truck fits indoors in bays sized for vehicles up to about 40 feet. A partial is about $5,050 and lettering about $1,850. Each truck is in the bay 2 to 3 business days, and for a moving company with several trucks we stage them so part of the fleet keeps working.
Also asked as: who can wrap a 26 foot box truck in chicago · 26 foot box truck wrap cost · how much to wrap 26ft box truck · we are a moving company with four 26 ft box trucks in chicago and need full wraps, looking for a shop that can do them two at a timeCan you wrap a box truck with rivets and corrugated sides, and does it cost more?
Yes, and a riveted body sits one labor tier higher: a 16 foot riveted box is $6,000 at our shop against $5,300 for a smooth one. We use cast film only, work it down around every rivet head with a rivet brush, post-heat each one so the film locks in place, and lay corrugated panels into the valleys before heating. Rivets are where cheap film lifts first.
Also asked as: Can you wrap a box truck with rivets? · can you wrap a box truck with rivets and corrugated sidesIs a $3,800 bid for a box truck wrap too low?
Probably, for design, print, laminate and install. Our price for a 16 foot smooth box, about that area, is $5,300; 364 square feet through our formula ($13.21 per square foot plus 6 percent waste) comes to about $5,100 before the labor tier. A bid a third under that means calendered film, no overlaminate or no post-heating somewhere. Ask which film and laminate are specified and what warranty backs the labor.
Also asked as: Does a $3,800 bid for design, print and install on a 364 sq ft box truck wrap sound too low?How much does it cost to wrap a small box truck, 14 to 16 feet?
A 16 foot box truck full wrap is $5,300 with smooth sides and $6,000 with rivets at our shop, design, print, lamination and install included. A partial runs about $2,900 or $3,300 and lettering about $1,050 or $1,200. Shorter 12 and 14 foot boxes are priced from their measured square footage, so they come in below the 16 foot figure. Pricing guide: box truck wrap cost.
Also asked as: how much to wrap a 16ft box truck · how much to wrap a small box truckWhat resolution do images need for a truck wrap?
Photos need at least 100 DPI at actual print size, and 150 to 300 DPI is better. At 100 DPI that is 1,200 pixels per foot of width, so a 16 foot box side wants an image about 19,200 pixels wide. Send the original camera file, not a web download. Logos should be vector (AI, EPS or PDF). Our designers check every file before it prints.

Trailers are quoted per project after we measure, so we do not post a price. What moves the number: length, one side or both, rear doors, and whether the skin is smooth aluminum, riveted or corrugated, which changes the labor. Cast vinyl bonds well to aluminum and fiberglass. Send photos of each side and the length and the itemized quote comes within 24 hours. See trailer wraps.

Also asked as: How much should a truck wrap cost? · how much do truck wraps cost · truck wraps cost · how much to get truck wrappedDo you wrap semi trucks and 53 foot trailers, and what does it cost?
Yes. Tractors and trailers are quoted per project after we measure; there is no list price because cabs, fairings and trailer skins vary. Door lettering and DOT numbers on a tractor are a small cut vinyl job. A 53 foot trailer is longer than our bays, which fit many vehicles up to about 40 feet, so ask us how we handle one. Details: semi trailer wraps.

Yes. Send photos of each side, the trailer length, your logo files and the sketch, and one of our two in-house designers builds the layout. Also asked as: Can you do a trailer wrap from photos and a sketch? · trailer wrap design · how to design trailer wrap · trailer wrap ideasDo you do police and fire vehicle graphics?
Yes, for a single department or a fleet. Squad car graphics are a decal and lettering package cut from cast and reflective vinyl; fire apparatus, with rear chevron striping and compartment lettering, is quoted per project after we measure. Reflective vinyl is available for night visibility, we Pantone match department colors, and a proof is approved before anything prints. Apparatus up to about 40 feet fits our bays indoors.
Also asked as: police vehicle graphics chicago · fire truck graphics illinois · fire truck graphics chicagoHow much does it cost to wrap a pickup truck?
A full pickup wrap is $3,500 at our shop, design and installation included. Lettering on the doors and tailgate is about $700, and a partial is 55 percent of the full price. Bed sides and the tailgate carry the message best because they sit at eye level in traffic. Caps, toolboxes and service bodies are measured and added to the quote. Example: Silverado wraps.
Also asked as: how much does it cost to wrap a pickup truck in Chicago · pickup truck wrap company near me · pickup truck wraps near chicago, il · pick up truck wraps near chicago, ilWhat types of commercial vehicles can you wrap?
Cargo and high roof vans, Sprinters, pickups, step vans, box trucks to 26 feet, dump trucks, trailers, semi tractors, buses, shuttles, food trucks, and company cars and SUVs. Vans, pickups and box trucks have list prices at our shop; trailers, buses, food trucks and heavy equipment are quoted after we measure. Most vehicles up to about 40 feet fit our bays indoors. Sound paint underneath is the only real limit.
Also asked as: What types of vehicles can you wrap · What types of vehicles can be wrapped · Which vehicles can I put wraps onCan you wrap an RV or a large trailer, or are they too big?
Trailers of every size are quoted per project after we measure, and an RV the same way after we see it. Our indoor bays fit many vehicles up to about 40 feet; a 53 foot trailer or a large coach is longer than that, so ask us how we handle it before you plan the job. Cast vinyl bonds to the aluminum and fiberglass skins both use.
Also asked as: I have an RV and a trailer, can you wrap them or are they too large · bus & rv wrapsCan you wrap an enclosed trailer to match our pickups?
Yes. We build the trailer artwork from the same production files as the trucks and Pantone match the print, so the set reads as one brand down the road. Each pickup full wrap is $3,500 at our shop; a 16 foot enclosed trailer is quoted after we measure its sides and rear doors. Send the trucks and the trailer as one order so everything prints from the same files.
Also asked as: we need a 16 foot enclosed trailer wrapped to match our contractor pickups, who in illinois does trailers · enclosed trailer wrap chicagoCan you wrap a trailer for one season and remove it afterward?
Yes. Cast film comes off cleanly inside its service life, and we price removal at 40 percent of the full wrap price, so book the removal when you book the install. For a one season run, a partial or cut lettering costs less up front and less to take off. A university equipment trailer, for example, can carry the season's sponsors and go back to plain in spring.
Also asked as: Can you wrap a university equipment trailer for the season? Can you wrap both sides of a shipping container?
We can quote it. A container is corrugated steel, so we lay cast film into the corrugation and post-heat it, as on a corrugated trailer; the job is quoted per project after we see it. Our indoor bays fit many vehicles up to about 40 feet, so a 20 foot container fits if it can be brought to us. If it cannot move, ask us how we handle it.

How much does a food truck or food trailer wrap cost?
Food trucks and food trailers are quoted per project after we measure, so we do not publish a price. Service windows, vents, generator boxes and awnings change both the wrappable area and the labor. Send photos of every side plus the length and the itemized quote comes within 24 hours. Design, including menu panels, is included. Details: food truck wraps.
Also asked as: food truck wrap cost in chicago · how much do food truck wraps.cost · how much to get a food truck wrapped · how much does a food truck wrap cost in ChicagoWhat makes a food truck wrap design work?
The name has to read from across a parking lot, so it goes large on both sides and the front. Food photography sells, and it needs 100 DPI at print size. Put the menu on the service side as its own panel so a price change is a reprint, not a rewrap, and keep text clear of the window frame and vents. Our two designers build it; design is included.
Also asked as: food truck wrap design ideas · food truck wrap design · food truck wrap ideas · how to design food truck wrapHow much does it cost to wrap a bus or school bus?
Buses are quoted per project after we measure; we do not post a bus price. School buses, shuttles and coaches up to about 40 feet fit our bays indoors. The quote depends on length, full or partial coverage, and whether the rear windows get printed perforated film. Send photos and the length for an itemized quote within 24 hours. See bus wraps.
Also asked as: bus wraps chicago · who wraps school buses in illinois · bus wraps · what are bus wrapsWhat is a breathable transit wrap?
A bus wrap with perforated window film on the windows and solid cast vinyl on the body, so passengers see out while the outside reads as one graphic. The perforation is 50 percent open, 50 percent printed: a screen from inside, solid from the street. It goes on rear and passenger windows behind the driver, never the windshield or front door glass. Quoted per project; see bus wraps.
Also asked as: breathable transit wrapHow long does a food truck wrap take, and can I book it before my launch date?
Plan on 3 to 5 business days from design approval to a finished truck, with the truck in our bay 2 to 3 business days of that. Design approval starts the clock, so have the logo, menu and photos ready when you call. A two week window works when the artwork is ready; book the install date when you approve the proof.
Also asked as: how long does it take to wrap a food truck and can i book it so it is done before my launch date · my food truck is parked in pilsen and i need a wrap done before the summer festival season, who in chicago can turn it around in two weeksCan you wrap tour buses on a tight timeline?
Often, yes. Artwork is the gate: once the proof is approved, we can arrange overnight and weekend work across five bays. Buses are quoted per project after we measure, and anything longer than about 40 feet needs that measurement before we commit to a date. Send dimensions, the files and your dates and you hear back within 2 business hours.
Also asked as: Can you wrap four tour buses on a tight timeline? Is a wrap or paint better for a food truck?
A wrap, for most operators. Print puts the name, food photography and the menu on the truck in one layer of cast vinyl with an overlaminate, and when the menu or the name changes we reprint that panel from the files we keep. Paint gives you one color and a sign painter's bill for every change. The wrap also comes off at resale.
Also asked as: food truck wrap vs paintWill a food truck wrap hold up to grease and daily washing?
Yes, if it is cast vinyl with an overlaminate and you wash it the right way. Wipe grease off daily with mild soap and water, hand wash or use a touchless bay, and keep pressure washers away from seams and edges. Skip pressure washing for the first week while the adhesive cures. Cared for like that, the wrap has a 5 to 7 year service life.
Also asked as: launching a food truck in chicago this spring and need a full wrap that will hold up to grease and daily washing, who should i callCan you letter or wrap a 15 passenger church shuttle bus?
Yes. A cutaway shuttle on a Ford or Chevy chassis is quoted after we measure it. Name, service times and phone in cut vinyl is the lowest cost route; a partial adds color and a photo; a full wrap covers the whole body. We keep the files, so when the schedule changes we reprint one panel instead of redoing the bus. Design is included at every level.

It puts your brand on the sides and rear and lets the white paint carry the rest, which reads as a finished design. Lettering alone is about $850 or $1,200. Design is included either way. Yes, and for most trades that is enough. It is a lettering and decal job, priced at 20 percent of the full wrap price: about $850 on a cargo van and about $700 on a pickup at our shop. We cut the letters from cast vinyl and print the logo, on both sides and the rear doors, and you approve a proof before anything is cut. See vehicle lettering.

Lettering, about $850 on a cargo van at our shop, gets your name, number and license number on a white van and looks clean. A full wrap at $4,200 turns the whole van into the ad, with color, services and photos that read from a block away. A partial at about $2,300 sits between them. Also asked as: lettering vs wrap plumbing van · Is vinyl lettering nearly as effective as a full wrap for a lot less money? · plumbing van wrap ideas · plumbing van wrap designWhat colors work best on a truck wrap?
High contrast wins: dark text on a light field or light on dark, read at traffic speed. We Pantone match brand colors; the trend on work trucks is a white body with one bold brand color. Matte black is a color change film that adds 15 percent to the full wrap price, needs a matte cleaner and no wax, and shows salt film. Gloss is easiest to keep clean.
Also asked as: best truck wrap colors · truck wrap color ideas · matte black truck wrap for a work truck · For commercial printed wraps, is there a popular pattern or color scheme or any trends that are popularIs it worth wrapping the first van of a new business?
For a trade, usually yes: the van sits at customer addresses where neighbors see it, and a clean wrap reads as an established company when bids are close. The Nielsen 2019 OOH study found 64 percent noticed a wrapped vehicle ad in the past month. Our cargo van full wrap is $4,200, paid once for a 5 to 7 year service life; lettering is about $850.

We do not list a nonprofit rate online; every van is priced from the same square foot formula: cargo van full wrap $4,200, partial about $2,300, lettering about $850. Design is included, so there is no agency bill on top. On a donated van we check that the paint is sound before we quote. Ask for all three coverage levels side by side. See nonprofit vehicle wraps.
Also asked as: where can a nonprofit get a van wrapped at a reasonable price in chicago · our nonprofit got a donated cargo van and wants it wrapped for outreach events, does anyone in chicago offer nonprofit pricingShould the design be mirrored on the other side of the van?
Usually yes for artwork, never for words. A character, arrow or vehicle in the design should face the front on both sides, so our designers flip the art for the passenger side while keeping text and logos reading left to right. Both sides appear on the proof you approve before printing, along with the rear doors, so you see exactly which way everything faces. Design is included in our price.
Also asked as: Is the design flipped on the other side of the van so the character faces the same way? What types of businesses benefit most from vehicle wraps?
Businesses whose vehicles park where the next customer lives: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning, pest control, moving and delivery. The van sits in a driveway for hours while the neighbors look at it. Food trucks and real estate agents gain the same way. The Nielsen 2019 OOH study found 64 percent noticed a wrapped vehicle ad in the past month. A vehicle that lives in a yard gains least.

What is vehicle lettering?
Vehicle lettering is cut vinyl: letters, numbers and simple logos cut from solid colored film and applied straight to the paint, no printed background. It is how a name, phone number or USDOT number goes on a plain white van. We cut it from cast vinyl, so it carries the same 5 to 7 year service life as a wrap, priced at 20 percent of a full wrap.

Decals are printed and laminated graphics, so they carry gradients, photos and multicolor logos; lettering is cut from solid colored film. We price both at 20 percent of the vehicle's full wrap: about $850 on a cargo van, about $1,850 on a 26 foot box truck. Both are cast vinyl with a 5 to 7 year service life. See truck decals.

A partial is 55 percent of the full price at our shop. On a cargo van a partial is about $2,300; a Transit high roof partial is about $2,700; a Sprinter 170 high roof partial about $3,300; a 16 foot smooth box truck partial about $2,900. It covers the panels people see, the sides and rear doors, with the hood and front left as paint. Design, print, lamination and install included. See partial wraps.

Usually. A wrap advertises every hour the van is out, while magnets get pulled off, and they trap moisture that can mark the paint. The Nielsen 2019 OOH study found 64 percent of people noticed a wrapped vehicle ad in the past month. A cargo van full wrap is $4,200 at our shop for a 5 to 7 year service life; a partial is about $2,300.

Yes. FMCSA rule 49 CFR 390.21 requires the legal business name and USDOT number on both sides of the power unit, in a color that contrasts with the background and readable from 50 feet in daylight while the truck is parked. We cut it from cast vinyl, usually black or white, and add it to any lettering or wrap job; alone it is a small cut vinyl order.

We price lettering at 20 percent of the vehicle's full wrap price: about $850 on a cargo van, about $700 on a pickup and about $1,050 on a 16 foot smooth box truck. That covers design, cast vinyl and installation on both sides and the rear. Cast film costs more than the calendered vinyl many sign shops cut, and it lasts years longer. See vehicle lettering.

About the same when both are cast vinyl: a 5 to 7 year service life. Printed decals depend on the overlaminate to protect the ink from UV; cut lettering is pigmented through the film, so it has no ink to fade. Both fail at the edges first, which is why we post-heat them. Calendered lettering from a quick sign shop is the one that shrinks and cracks early.

Warm each letter with a heat gun, lift a corner with a plastic scraper and pull it back at a low angle, then dissolve the leftover adhesive with a citrus or isopropyl remover and polish the panel. Old lettering on sun-faded paint leaves a ghost outline where the paint underneath stayed protected. Cast film peels in one piece; calendered film breaks into chips. We remove lettering we did not install.

Cast color film from Avery Dennison or 3M, if the lettering has to last. Cast holds its size, wraps body lines and comes off clean; calendered film is cheaper and fine for a short promotion, but it shrinks and cracks within a few seasons outdoors. Application is the same either way: clean panel, transfer tape, hinge it in place, squeegee from the center out, post-heat the edges.
Also asked as: best vinyl for vehicle lettering · how to install vinyl lettering on a vehicleShould I order vinyl lettering for my van online instead of using a local shop?
Online lettering is cheaper because you buy cut film with transfer tape and install it yourself, often in calendered vinyl. Our lettering is 20 percent of the full wrap price, about $850 on a cargo van, and that buys design, cast vinyl and installation with post-heated edges. If you order online, insist on cast film, letters at least 4 inches tall, and a warm, dry place to apply it.
Also asked as: Where can I get vinyl lettering for my van online since local prices are high?Is print-and-cut or a wrap the better method for a van graphic?
Print-and-cut when the graphic is a logo and text sitting on the paint; a wrap when color or imagery has to run across panels. Print-and-cut decals are 20 percent of our full wrap price, about $850 on a cargo van; a partial is 55 percent, about $2,300; a full wrap $4,200. All three are cast vinyl with an overlaminate, with the same 5 to 7 year service life.
Also asked as: For a van graphic like this, is print-and-cut or a wrap the better method?Should my phone number go large on the back window?
Yes. The driver behind you at a light is the one reader with time to dial, so the rear carries the phone number big, with the website and a licensed and insured line smaller beneath. On glass we print it on perforated window film, solid from outside and see-through from the seat; rear windows only, never the windshield or front side glass. Keep the number at least 4 inches tall.
Also asked as: Should I add my phone number very large on the back window with licensed and insured under it?What font works best for vehicle lettering?
A bold sans serif with open letter spacing, the kind used on highway signs. Scripts, condensed faces and thin weights disappear at 40 miles per hour. Size matters more than style: a phone number needs letters at least 4 inches tall to read from 50 feet, and the company name larger still. Our designers set the type as part of the included design.
Also asked as: best font for vehicle lettering · truck lettering ideasDo you make magnetic signs?
No. Magnets trap moisture against the panel and can mark the paint, so we steer work vehicles away from them. For something temporary, cut lettering at about $850 on a cargo van or a partial wrap at about $2,300 does the job, and either one comes off cleanly inside its service life. See wraps versus magnetic signs.
