Storefront Signage Chicago: Windows, Walls & Doors That Pull People In

Your storefront gets more daily eyeballs than any ad you'll ever buy. Window graphics, frosted film, wall murals, and door lettering — printed and installed by the same Chicago crew behind 19,400+ vehicle wraps.

Every Surface Your Storefront Owns

A storefront is four ad placements pretending to be a building. Window graphics turn glass into full-color displays — including perforated see-through film that reads solid from the sidewalk and stays transparent from inside. Frosted and etched-look privacy film dresses offices, salons, and medical suites without blocking light. Door lettering packages put your name, hours, and phone where every customer touches the business. Interior and exterior wall murals carry the brand from the sidewalk through the sales floor — the same wall wrap production we run for museums and showrooms.

Need the sign above the door too? Printed panel and fascia signs are quoted from your façade photo and dimensions. And when the storefront matches the fleet parked in front of it, the whole block knows who you are.

Built for Chicago Retail Reality

Chicago storefront work has rules the internet template shops never mention: landlord and property-management sign criteria, ComEd meter and egress clearances, condensation cycles that peel bargain vinyl off Lakeview glass by February. We install exterior-rated cast films with laminate on every printed surface, measure from site photos or in person across Chicagoland, and produce to your landlord's spec sheet so approval is one email instead of three site meetings.

Retail buildouts, restaurant openings, dental and med-spa suites, gyms, dispensaries, franchise refreshes across multiple locations — one crew, one color standard, every address matching. Multi-location rollouts are scheduled like our fleet programs: phased, dated, done.

The Rollout Record: 250+ Storefronts, Coast to Coast

CFW has completed roughly 250 storefronts, from single Chicago boutiques to national multi-location programs for T-Mobile, US Bank, and Home Depot. The biggest interior program to date: Amazon corporate in Seattle — three buildings, 38 floors each, full of graphics, produced and coordinated from our Chicago facility. A typical door-and-window lettering package installs in 1–3 hours, so a storefront can open branded the same morning the film arrives.

Storefront Signage FAQs

How do you quote storefront signage?

From a photo of the storefront and rough glass or wall dimensions. A written quote comes back in 2 hours, itemized by surface, with a mockup to follow — so you and your landlord approve one clear plan.

Do I need a permit for storefront window graphics in Chicago?

Vinyl window and door graphics typically fall under your lease's sign criteria rather than a city permit, while permanent projecting and illuminated signs run through Chicago's sign permit process. We produce to your landlord or property manager's spec sheet and supply drawings when the project needs them.

Can people see out through full window graphics?

Yes — perforated window film prints full color on the street side and stays see-through from inside, so display windows keep daylight and sight lines. It is the same material transit buses use over their windows.

How long does storefront vinyl last outdoors?

Exterior-rated cast films with laminate hold 5–7 years through Chicago winters. Cheap calendered vinyl is why you see peeling storefronts every February — we do not install it.

Can you do multiple locations with matching branding?

Yes. Multi-location and franchise rollouts run like our fleet programs: one color standard, phased install dates, every address matching. Send the location list and we will build the schedule.

Do you handle the design or just the printing?

Both. Send print-ready art and we proof it against your glass dimensions, or our design team builds the storefront package from your logo — the same designers behind our vehicle wraps, so storefront and fleet match.

How long does a storefront signage install take?

A typical door-and-window lettering package installs in 1–3 hours, so the storefront opens branded the same day. Full window graphics and wall murals scale with square footage and are scheduled around your business hours — early morning and overnight installs are routine.

Has CFW handled large multi-location signage programs?

Yes — roughly 250 storefronts completed, including multi-location work for T-Mobile, US Bank, and Home Depot, and an Amazon corporate program in Seattle covering three buildings of 38 floors each, full of graphics, coordinated from our Chicago facility.
